Did you know that your Liver and Immune System spend their entire time removing toxins? Years ago they were simple toxins. Today, there are hundreds of toxins daily that our systems have to deal with which is why anti aging is becoming so popular.
It's Spring Clean Up Time! Let's think of cleaning up our internal organs as well. With all the multi trillion pounds of chemicals that are released into the environment each year, we need to do something to protect ourselves before we get sick. Where do they come from you say? Emissions from industries and vehicles, industrial and agricultural chemicals discharged into the ground and water supply. Add to this what we eat, drink and our exposure to household cleaners in our homes and don't forget your personal care products. Take all of this into consideration and it adds up to toxic overload. Start with a liver cleanse, or a simple Metal Cleanse.
If you are sensitive to certain foods and keep eating them, you make your liver work harder. When you don't digest foods well, it allows the larger food molecules to escape your intestines and that is what is known as "Leaky Gut Syndrome." Improper digestion leads those larger molecules to be handled by your immune system. So, if your colon is not disposing of these molecules then they are delivered to your liver for disposal. Oh my, toxic liver! The enzymatic and chemical reactions the liver needs come from particular Nutrients (vitamins).
Be kind to your liver. Take a good antioxidant. Don't just cleanse without protection. Your liver filters your blood at a rate of approximately 2 quarts per minute. This process removes bacteria and other toxins and converts them into non-toxic substances for elimination from your body. This detoxification process can generate big amounts of free radicals which can be neutralized by antioxidants. When you don't have enough antioxidants to make this happen, problems occur. Auto immune disorders, headaches, fatigue, skin problems or just over all poor quality health become the norm. Consider giving up caffeine or alcohol and add 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water per day.
