Do You “Lose It” Over Little Stuff?

Do the little everyday mundane things that happen in life make you lose your cool?  Too many little stressors such as traffic on the way to work, chatty co-workers, too many emails to answer, those 10 messages on your phone or your children calling to ask dumb questions can make you lose your cool as if an extreme trauma just occurred.  Too many little stresses without any relief leave us drained emotionally, physically and mentally.  We can’t figure out why we anger easily, act irritable and tired and even join in on road rage.  Your body has learned to offer you adrenaline every time it feels fear or negative emotions wether small or extreme.  We tend to mask it with food, alcohol or even energy drinks to calm us or rev us up for the next occurrence.  After while our adrenals get exhausted and if they are not tended to, they will react causing us to have ailments.  Allergies, headaches, stomach issues, back pain, sugar lows or chronic sinus infections are a few minor ways.  If you do not pay attention, it gets into more inflammatory responses such as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and asthma to name a few of the more extreme.  There are many ways to cope with stress but if you have reactions immediately, then you can improve response with certain dietary changes and supplements.  If you wait too long, you will be in the office of a medical specialist taking away a prescription for some nasty anti-inflammatory medication.  Like Smokey the Bear would have said, “You too can prevent fires”.  Call us for an appointment 585-787-4251
