October News From Marge

October News from Marge

Marge Professional Pic dark blueSeptember has slipped away and the fall colors are starting to appear.  Even though October is upon us, it seems that the good weather doesn’t want to leave any more than we want it to.  I hate to give up my sandals and put those socks and shoes back on.  With the impending weather transformation, we need to pay close attention to the changes that occur within our bodies. Our dogs and cats are putting back on their winter coats and many of us have started to experience what happens when our blood thickens up for cold weather. Some experience shortness of breath, heart palpitations and that logy winter fatigue, while others are more prone to increased stress and sinus infections. However you feel the weather change, almost all of us start to feel the “short day” syndrome of feeling down, unhappy or even depressed.

With all of the seasonal changes, it is no wonder that we all are focused on boosting our mood and immune system. Many go to the health food store or even Wegmans searching out St. John’s Wort, because a friend said it might work.  Many find they waste their money, because what works for one person does not work for everyone. There are many different reasons for the way each and every one of us feels. Some people have Iron and B12 deficiencies, where others have electrolyte imbalances and need to boost their Thymus gland. From my experience, it helps to additionally work on reducing stress reactions, which can help improve plaguing sinus pain. Then again, there are even some of you that need everything in my arsenal.

Losing time at your job can cost a fortune in lost wages.  Missing work goes against you and if you could prevent it, wouldn’t that be helpful?  If your child is frequently sick, they can easily fall behind in their school work.  Getting them back in school quickly and keeping them in classes is valuable to them and you.  If you haven’t been in lately, maybe this is a good time to help yourself to stay well over the cold, wintery months. Remember children 18 or under are only $75.00 for their appointments.  We also have a new pay structure for the adults, which will help the budget.

There are fun and exciting events going on here in Webster this month that I want to invite you to:

–     Friday, October 3rd is the first Village Wine Walk!  A donation gets you a wine glass, a wrist band and wine tastings at several locations in the Village (including here at our location!). It’s a fun event I hope to see you there!

–     The Halloween “Trick or Treat” Trail is going to be Saturday, October 25th. Costumed adults and children fill the streets and receive tons of treats from all the businesses in the Village.

Just for you we are bringing back your spa favorite- The Collagen Extravaganza! All month long, you can come in, relax in our delightful spa beds while we bathe your face, neck, lips, and under eyes in skin renewing collagen.
