Shortness of Breath

This time of year brings out all the different ways we can experience “Shortness of Breath”. Bronchitis and pneumonia pose a set of nutritional deficiencies that not only make it tough to breath but literally knock the wind and take away our sails. It fatigues and inflames the body keeping us down for weeks to months. Even then we feel like we can never get our act back together and it gets us again or takes months to improve.
COPD and Asthma are another group that offers difficulty in breathing. Then there are the self inflicted problems such as cigarette smoking, wearing wool, sleeping on feather pillows and eating allergenic foods such as wheat and cow’s dairy.
The last is the unknown response allergies such as when someone unknowingly gives you foods like peanuts that cause serious responses in some that require an epipen or hospitalization.
I personally fall in the history of bronchitis, pneumonia and at times I sound asthmatic. Yet, I pass all the tests to say I am not. Over the last 30 years one of the accomplishments is finding natural products and life style changes to reduce and mostly eliminate these problems from my life. I would get hit with bronchitis or pneumonia four to six times a year. Those bacterial varmints had found a permanent haven in my lower lung lobes and when they got over populated – I suffered. I would be out of work and completely down and out for at least 3 to 5 weeks at a time. I’m not saying you won’t ever get sick but reducing the severity or the length of time you are unable to work is more than a plus. I was game to try anything for a little while and that is when I was introduced to my career of helping others. I spent way too much money on allergy relief over the counter medications and then went through surgery to end up worse then when I went into that specialist’s office. Helping others through natural methods became my life’s work. No matter how many times I’ve thought of retiring – this is still my passion.
I have clients that are amazed at the relief they get within days of getting on the correct supplements for them. I have one that hardly even uses her oxygen anymore and does not wake up every morning in fear of that first breath. How thrilling to get relief.
In this natural world not one supplement works for every kind of sinus problem and we have to figure out your combination and also when to use it. All the clients ask why their doctor’s don’t recommend this treatment and my answer is, “they do not study the use of supplements – they learn to write prescriptions – and there is not much profit for them.” When they see their required blood work come back with excellent numbers they tell our clients, “keep doing what you are doing – there is not enough scientific proof but it seems to be working for you – so keep doing it.”
If you have a “shortness of breath” problem or know someone that does maybe you would like to try to reduce the horrible symptoms. What have you got to lose by trying?
