Will I be able to keep the weight off once I stop the HCG program?

This is one of the most asked questions! Most people think if I’m going to put all this work and money into this program than I want it to last! The HCG program is amazing that way. You are able to maintain the weight and some even continue to lose more weight.

HCG resets so many things in our body….our tastes buds for one. It’s amazing how fresh and crisp the flavors are on the program.  The foods you ate before the program don’t seem to hold the same appeal; you like the taste of the food on the program and tend to stick with the healthier choices. Then when you want to splurge on a treat, you can!!  The Hypothalamus has also been reset to start burning fats and only storing the fats we need for energy.

You do have to follow the protocol of the maintenance part of the program. You cannot expect to stop the program and go right back to eating like you did before the diet. You need to add things back slowly and stay away from the sugars and starches for the first three weeks. You’re going to find that you can’t eat as much as before because your body has become a custom to eating the healthier portions. Your still weighing yourself every day, so you are able to adjust your daily intake.

Why do I need to drink so much water when I’m on HCG?

Regardless of being on the diet or not…WATER is important!!!

Incredible as it may seem, water is quite possibly the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off. Water suppresses the appetite naturally and helps metabolize stored fat. Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits.

Here’s why: The kidneys can’t function properly without enough water. When they don’t work to capacity, some of their load is dumped on the liver. But, if the liver has to do some of the kidneys work, it can’t operate at full throttle. As a result, it metabolizes less fat, more fat remains stored in the body, and weight loss stops.

The overweight person needs more water than one who is not overweight. Larger people have larger metabolic loads. Water helps to maintain muscle tone by giving muscles their natural ability to contract and by preventing dehydration. It also helps to prevent the sagging skin that usually follows weight loss. Shrinking cells are buoyed by water, which plumbs the skin and leaves it clear, healthy and resilient.

Water can help relieve constipation. When the body gets too little water, it siphons what it needs from internal sources. The colon is one primary source. Results? Constipation. But when a person drinks enough water, normal bowel function usually returns.

The body will not function properly without enough water and can’t metabolize stored fat efficiently.

So drink at least 64 ounces of water a day.

One of the most feared and asked question on HCG…..Will I be hungry????

Most people think that a 700 calorie a day diet is a recipe for starvation but I’m here to tell you differently. HCG is amazing and you are truly not hungry. You are burning at least a pound of fat a day which means the hypothalamus, (the part of the brain that controls the way we burn and store fat), thinks it’s getting 2500 calories from the breakdown of your own fat. Not only are you not hungry but you have this sense of well-being and a lot more energy.

For a lot of people it’s not only the physical aspect of so little food, it’s also the mental thinking that you are going to be starving on such little food. But that’s just not the case, you are actually at times surprised at how full you become on the smaller portions and wonder why you ate so much before the diet. Then you take that thinking after the diet and are able to maintain and even loss more weight. Most people eat for so many other reasons and you’d be surprised that being hungry is very low on the list. We can help you figure out why you eat and how to eat healthier.
