A planned vacation to relax and rejuvenate is something many of us need or deeply desire. Time off helps reset our minds and helps to reactivate our creativity. When life gets in the way, sometimes all we need to do is chill out. Like many others, one of my favorite vacation pastimes is to relax at the beach. For me, sitting on the beach allows me to reflect on the happenings of my life. It is wonderful to be able to step back, remove yourself from situations back home and focus on what can be done.
When on vacation, I rarely discuss what I do as I try to separate my home and work life, but somehow there is always someone in need of my expertise. I love helping others! This time it was one of the people that I happen to see every year. When we arrived she was excitedly soaking up more than her share of sun rays. However, she did not appear the second day and her husband said it was a case of “prickly heat”. By the third day, she came to me and asked if I knew what to do as her legs were swollen, blisters were appearing on her arms, legs, chest and back. She felt exhausted and was getting scared and stressed out. I let her know that she was brewing a case of “sun poisoning” and if she wasn’t careful, she would end up at the island hospital. I proceeded to help her the best way I knew how with a trip to the local island health food store to see what we could find.
I found a decent “Kidney Cleanse” to help with the edema, an Adrenal Support product to help reduce the stress, an herb to support her electrolytes, Vitamin D3 to help her immune system and skin as well as an essential oil to put with a lotion to help reduce or eliminate the blisters. The hardest part for her was staying out of the sun. Within 24 hours she started to “feel great” and her skin was improving! (Her words) I was beginning to get requests even though I wasn’t “Muscle Testing” anyone. She was so excited to have energy and feel less stress, not to mention her skin was back to normal within 3 days! She confessed that the last year had been stressful and draining her of all her energy. She knew she needed help, but was thrilled that something simple such as a few supplements could reverse her problems and help her to feel so good. I explained that it is knowing “which supplements” that will help improve specific situations.
Her family back home was thrilled that she found help for the immediate problem, but the bonus was that it improved every aspect of her life. That was a big kudos for this American Holistic Practitioner. Now, how can I help you?
