Good question to ask. Most of us make a list of what would “Make us feel better.” What would be on your list? Finances, Health, Weight Loss, Relationship, More Sleep or how about a Calmer Life Style?
I sat down and made my list. I am pretty happy with my life and had to think about it. So, I started breaking it down into areas of my life.
Personal, Business, Family, Marriage, Friends
Let’s start with Family. I would like to spend more time with my grandchildren. I have to check my calendar and sit down with my son and plan to do things with my grands around their schedule and school schedules. The other grandson, I have to plan a weeks vacation to go out and spend time with them. I could Face Time with them or send little special things in the mail to them. Now, start thinking of things to do with them once you are with them…hmm!
Next will be my Marriage. We could get back to date time again. We get on a great path with it then friends start joining (which is fun) but then we look at each other and realize we have once again lost our date time. Time to work on that!
Personal for me is more difficult. I am one that helps out others and tends to leave my own needs until last. Probably sounds very familiar as you probably do that too! Well, I decided that my health is one of my
hobbies. I decided to look at many of the programs out there for weight loss to compare them to what is offered in my practice. Looking at the outrageous prices some of these places are charging makes me very happy to offer a more personal service that gets results and hopefully changes peoples lives. I am not hungry and can easily stay on it. When I have my moments, I look at my chart of how much I’ve lost and ask myself if that indulgence is worth the stall of my progress. I like the energy, the way I feel and especially the way I look. I have changed my hair and have let it grow longer and have vowed to keep the gray/white hairs covered and I have found a great girl that cuts and colors the way I used to when I worked as a Beautician. Not ready to look like my parents yet! I also like the concept of meditating but am unable to sit in the position or keep my mind only on my breathing for long segments. I have found the Zen 12 which I have downloaded on my iPad and computer as it comes in different formats, relaxation music, white noise, nature & spoken. My favorites are the Relaxation for day time & White Noise for going to sleep. My motivation, decisions & goals are manifesting and my stress response is reduced. Business is forever changing and evolving. I guess in this new technical phase you have to or you become a dinosaur. I have switched offices and rented out my larger office to another practitioner, Josie who does Reiki and Angel Card Readings. Stay tuned as she has offered to do a reading for me and I will share my results. Robin does Reiki also and Acupressure & Essential Oils is in the room next to her (Josie) and Christina who does awesome Massage and Facials as well as her new venture is moving down the hall to accommodate her new cellulite and stretch mark eliminator equipment and I will have one more office to rent out.(If you know someone looking to join in with holistic minded practitioners, please send them this way) Nice space to be your own boss yet have others to confer with and possibly refer to. I am working on my video classes to market online for those that want to help themselves, their families, their clients and patients. I will also be offering Classes on How to Become a Holistic Health Coach. After over 30 plus years as a Health & Life Coach I feel it is time to teach others. How cool is that! I always wanted to be a teacher on a larger scale and now it is happening. Everyone has something to teach others. I have so many ideas and use my Zen recordings to stay focused on the goal at hand. So, I have shared some of the ways I have found to make my Life Better which makes me feel better.
